Mobile Clinic is an amazing organization that focuses on simultaneously addressing health disparities in our local communities while allowing the future generations of health providers an opportunity to give back and learn extremely valuable lessons under the direct wings of amazing, philanthropic physicians. I recognized the impact that this organization has on Iowa as soon as I heard about it and was eager to join. I am ecstatic I get to continue to be part of the team that brings so much to so many in our area.

I have been volunteering with the University of Iowa Mobile Clinic since the fall of 2021. I started as a general volunteer and then transitioned to being one of the Clinic Coordinators for West Liberty where I stayed for the last 3 years. My experience revitalizing West Liberty has shown me the broader impact that I can have on the mission of Mobile Clinic. I’m excited to bring my passion for expanding access to care and thoughtful leadership to supporting all of Mobile Clinic's clinic sites as Co-Executive Director of Clinic Operations.

Harry Bui
Current Positions:
Executive Director of Clinic Relations
I initially joined the Mobile Clinic because I was passionate about healthcare access and meeting patients where they are. Beginning my freshman year, volunteering and training with the clinic gave me the opportunity to learn how small, intentional actions can make a meaningful impact on patients and communities. Through this work, I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of accessible, community-based care and the people who make it possible. Now, as the Director of Clinic Relations, I am excited to continue this work by building new connections, strengthening partnerships, and expanding the resources and specialties we are able to offer across our clinic sites.

I began volunteering with Mobile Clinic during my M1 year. My prior experience working as a social caseworker in street-side clinics during undergrad motivated me to continue this work as a medical student, now serving as a student provider. My favorite aspect of this organization has been the opportunity to deliver care to those who need it most in the Iowa City community, while also gaining invaluable hands-on clinical experience.

Having grown up in Iowa City with a deep appreciation for patient care, the UI Mobile Clinic has been the perfect way for me to give back to the community that raised me. Our clinics serve a diverse population and address barriers to healthcare with compassion and respect, allowing volunteers to contribute to meaningful, patient-centered care while learning the importance of advocacy, teamwork, and service in healthcare.
Jacob Horton
Current Positions:
Executive Director of Technology
While there is no shortage of ways to spend your weekend as a college student in Iowa City, I notice that my best weekends are the ones when I volunteer with UI Mobile Clinic. In doing so, I'm able to combine my interests in medicine and working with underserved populations, which eases the pain of having to take two semesters of physics if it means I get to pursue a career in healthcare. I'm excited to be a part of UI Mobile Clinic, both as a volunteer and as the Executive Director of Technology, so that I can make an impact in my local community by working directly with patients, and making sure the organization functions smoothly from behind the scenes!
Kane Zemo
