Iowa City: Shelter House
Iowa City’s only general homeless shelter with 70 beds and breakfast and dinner provided. People can stay for up to 30 days in the emergency shelter or up to 90 days in the transitional shelter program with active case management services to help them achieve stable housing and employment. There are special programs for veterans and families, job training, and a nursing clinic at their site.

A service that provides job training, health care, and financial assistance for underserved people in Iowa primarily focused on migrant workers. Mobile Clinic partners with Proteus for specific summer migrant worker clinics, but also they engage in a variety of other services.
